What this part does
The bobbin case holds the bobbin and controls the tension of the lower thread. A damaged or wrongly fitted bobbin case can cause tangled or looping thread under the fabric, so replacing it can be one fix for persistent lower-thread problems.

- This case is for front-loading bobbin systems, where the bobbin case is removed from the front of the machine. Top-loading (drop-in) machines use a different holder.
